It’s never to late .....to give. Although the Scout for Food Drive is over, it’s never to late to give
to your local food bank . Winston Churchill once said “we make a living by
what we get, we make a life by what we give..
Take the time........
To think about others in need when gardening this season. Grow a row of vegetables for your local food bank and help feed a family in need because little acts of kindness can make a big difference in your community.
Although the need is great......... On May 8, more than 1,000 National Rural Letter Carrier Association branches will participate
in their annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. This year goal is to reach 1 billion pounds of food.
Who’s in need...
Working a full-time job but making enough money to cover your expenses?
The working poor often have to depend on food banks and pantries because
they often don’t qualify for any other assistants.
Hunger........
Hunger is not having enough food to live a productive life. In Utah, one out
of every four children are affected by hunger.
You can make a difference...
Whether you are donating food, or volunteering at your local food bank you
can make a difference in your community by getting involve.
