Scouting For Food Drive 2008

The national Scouting for Food drive is on March 29! Be prepared by saving a can each week to donate.

Scouting for Food is a “Do A Good Turn” annual event organized by the Utah National Parks Council. Boy Scouts throughout the state collect non-perishable food and hygiene items, and these donations will be distributed by your local food bank or pantry to families in need.

When setting aside cans for Scouting for Food, please remember your donations will be given to real people (including children) with real nutritious needs.

The food bank network in Utah distributes millions of pounds of food each year to families in need and through other local organizations.  As effective as this network is, we continue to seek opportunities to build partnerships in the community to end hunger in Utah.

To accomplish our purpose, the regional food banks together focus on strengthening our network, increasing the visibility of local food banks and pantries, sharing food resources, and influencing public policy.

Our contact for the Food Banks of Utah is Utahns Against Hunger.
